So many streaming platforms, so much time. And yet, it’s still tough to choose what to watch. Regularly updated: here’s my quick take on the TV I have been watching, if it helps.
A country torn apart, families separated, the Berlin Wall, national shame, Nazi hunters, secret police, communist parades, student revolutions, cosmonauts and concrete high-rises - there is no shortage of themes and visuals for directors, actors, and authors to explore.
This list is about my favourite TV shows of all time. You know, the ones you watch and then have to watch from the beginning right away as soon as you finish them. And then over the years you watch them again and again and again and again. And you’re not interested in watching anything else because everything else is not this TV show, which you are obsessed with. That is what this list is about.
I started watching The Haunting of Hill House (HoHH) on a Saturday morning, and for two episodes I was completely enthralled. I was also scared shitless. So scared, infact, that I had to leave it a month before coming back to it. Despite being terrified all over again, this was my favourite show of 2018 and here’s what I think made it so good.
